the one with cintai, cafe and rain

My first week of September is HELL. I was so busy with the reports and presentation. Good thing Liz asked me to go with her and Alvin in their food tasting in Bauan, Batangas. They ar getting married this December and I am pretty much involved in their wedding preparations. Well, I am also the Maid of Honor so go figure.

I said no at first to that day of food, thinking I will be needing that one day for my requirements but I gave up. I told myself: Wala ka rin namang maiisip kung pagod na ang isip mo..

Next thing I know I was sitting in a cafe in Lipa City waiting for the couple to arrive..

No it is not Cafe de Lipa..

Candlelight Cafe
KM 77 Laurel Highway, Barangay Maraouy Lipa City

Just in front of Alvin's home in Lipa
Stayed here while waiting for Liz and Alvin to come and pick me up, hehe.

In their Facebook page, owners of the cafe is a creation out of love for coffee and

...CANDLES! Hence the name Candlelight Cafe.

Inside the cafe..

From where I was seated

I know, I chose a long table all to myself. Hey. It's 9ish in the morning.  I don't expect people to come right? and the reason I chose this table was because of...

...this chair. I love it. So comfortable. I want to take it home with me. I want to be sitting in this kind of chair when I am doing my thesis

I slept the whole time I was on the bus all the way to Lipa and I need a jolt. Ooooh, Kapeng Barako!! When I came in, I just wanted french toasts and that kapeng barako but I ended up with...

...a cappuccino and a tuna and tomato pesto pan de sal. It's yummy, comforting but not extravagant. #Labo?

Waste time, I did not. This is my baon..

Akala mo food pa rin no? Hehe. Homework. I was preparing for an important presentation. But hey I was able to do an outline of my topic and half of my script! Ha! #AkalaMoHa

In the middle of my thinking, something disturbed me and it was..

this cuckoo clock.. It was nice. It was refreshing, hearing it. I could not even remember the last time I heard one. #Oldschooliscool

Minutes passed and by 11am, Me, Liz, Alvin and Alvin's parents were on our way to Bauan, Batangas for the food tasting.

Liz and Alvin got Juan Carlo's for their wedding. Kunwari there are lots of people reading my blog, so I could not tell you the what food we're having on Liz and Alvin's reception. But here are my plates. Think and judge all you want but I am not telling still..

But there's one thing I will be sharing with you since it's not going to be served.

This carrot cake is good, believe me. IT'S GOOD. Calling Juan Carlo's please still convince Liz to include this is the dessert table.

That 2 hours of food tasting was one of the happiest 2 hours of my entire life. Oh food, glorious food..

I need some fresh air after that hearty meal. Good thing we went to the reception venue in Lipa - Cintai by Corito's Garden.

Cintai by Corito's Garden
Balete, Batangas

Just so you know, Cintai (pronounced "Chin-tai") is Indonesian for the word LOVE. This Balinese inspired resort is indeed a breath of fresh air. There are lots of things to see in Corito's.

Um, my photos of the villas and rooms were not up to par but believe me the rooms are beautiful.

Oohh.. Love this spot..

I need to have my picture taken here..

I love being surrounded by greens. Reason why I studied near the mountain ranges.. Thanks UP..

It was a great decision to come with the two love birds and not spend my Sunday locked in my room.

Liz and Alvin, merci merci

PS: If I let my lazy butt rule, I wouldn't be experiencing the lovely rain..

#lovingnature

It was raining, I swear..
