Bitten by the travel bug.. Matagal na panahon na.

Bago pa man nauso ang It's More Fun in the Philippines, early years pa lang ng Wow Philippines kung saan saan na ako nakarating. Home address ko pa lang nakailang palit na ako no. Kaya naniniwala ako na ung travel bug na kumagat sa maraming Pilipino ngayon ay apo na nung travel bug na kumagat sa akin nung bata ako. Hehe, joke lang.

Kidding aside, travelling was first introduced to me when my Lola Pilang, my father's mother, died in their hometown in Quezon province when I was 7 years old. Ito yung unang pagkakataong naaalala kong bumyahe na may muwang na sa mundo. Sabi ng mga mame matagal na daw kaming umuuwi ng Quezon. Madalas pa nga daw nakikipaglaro sa akin si lola pero yun nga masyado pa akong bata para maalala. Kaya naman ung pagdalaw naming ng mamatay ang lola ang una kong experience sa travel. Simula noon, halos taon taon na kaming umuuwi ng Atimonan.

Travel to Atimonan that time was a 6 hour drive from Manila. Now with the Star Tollway and Tiaong Diversion Road, travel time was lessened to 5 hours. Parang trip to Baguio lang ang ganap. Seryoso, may zigzag sa bundok din papuntang Atimonan hindi nga lang kasing haba ng Kenon Road or Marcos Highway but still zigzag road parin. Pero bago pumasok ng Quezon province, dumadaan muna kami sa isa ko pang lola, mame's mother, sa San Juan Batangas. Yes, it was always hitting two birds with one stone.

Other than these visits to the grandparents, mame would always bring me with her to different  school field trips whenever there will be vacant seats in the bus. I was able to see early days of Villa Escudero because of these trips. Hindi ako maiwan ng mame for some reason habang nagmumukmok sa bahay ang mga kapatid ko. Hehe.

More of the travels happened when I was in college. Since UP Baguio encourage exploring the culture of different provinces in the northern and central Luzon and just because most of my classmates were from the region, I grabbed the opportunity to visit the provinces. 

Where am I going? Dahil ang intergalactic space na ito ay para sa remembering.. I decided that I would post my trips and some travel related thoughts. Marami na siguro ang sukang suka sa dami nang nagsusulputan travel blogs pero uulitin ko, ang intergalactic space na ito ay para sa remembering.. hence it will likely be a travel journal J

I just hope I can write about my trips (as if naman ganun karami) while I try to write about other things in this space as well. As much as I love traveling, hindi naman ako mayaman to be in constant travel. Hindi ko nga alam kung kailan ba ang susunod na out of the country trip, baka nga wala nang kasunod pero sana meron pa. Ganun ka un-sure ang aking travelling plans kaya it's better to travel like it's my last! Hence this intergalactic space J
