Ok fine OA lang ang title. Well ang ginawa lang naman ni Mel ay kumain ng Japanese food habang chumichika.
Since I am just a Jenni Epperson fan and I believe in her taste with food, Mel and I decided to brave the weekend Makati CBD streets to see Manila Maki.
Japanese food was part of our college barkada. I remember we would frequent Shiki, a small japanese resto in Porta Vaga then transferred to Session Road then I don't know where because the last time I went to Baguio, June of this year, it wasn't there anymore. Yes, it all started back in college. But then when I went back to Manila after college, excited that there are more japanese restaurants here only to find out that most of my friends aren't a fan. They just like the doburis and katsus but they are not adventurous with sushis, sashimis and other japanese rolls.
So everytime that I have a craving, I always call one of my college barkada, tadaa! Thanks Mel.
So ang dami ko pang sinabi.
INSIDE Manila Maki
I know Pare. It's really hard to choose most especially we were craving! Aaaah! |
The FOOD
Manila Maki Miso Soup - Miso Soup with a tamarind twist |
Pork Katsu with Gravy - All Katsus taste good to me. Hehe. |
Seared Tuna Kinilaw - This one's good I tell you. |
Manila Maki Roll - you can easily tell good rolls and this one is. |
Aligue Chahan - Yummy to the last bite. |
Just so you know, Mel did all the choosing. I always ask her to do the "ordering" when we eat out as she is allergic to eating chicken.
We also ordered Adarna Roll and the House Iced Tea, yes yes I forgot to take photos as we were seriously 'catching up' stories.
My Catch Up Japanese Plate aka Lovely Plate |
I know Mel would love this photo. So did we finish 'em all? That I'm not gonna tell.. |
For the stories, yummy food and crazy ideas..
merci merci Mel
